Buffalo Bills DB Damar Hamlin to Hospital: Scary Injury vs. Bengals

On Monday, Damar Hamlin, Buffalo Bills safety, sustained a frightening and emotional injury against Cincinnati Bengals.

Already, injuries have begun to strike the Buffalo Bills Secondary in Monday’s match against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The game took a backseat when Bills safety Damarhamlin, who was hurt in the first quarter by a big hit against Bengals receiver TeeHiggins, suffered a frightening injury.

Hamlin fell to the ground hard in order to make the tackle. He stood up at the play’s end but fell to the ground immediately afterward, seeming to have lost consciousness. Although the extent of the injury remains unknown, an ambulance and stretcher were brought onto the field.

According to ESPN, Hamlin was given CPR by medical staff while he was still on the ground.

Hamlin has 63 solo tackles this season, one forced fumble and 1.5 sacks. He also defends two passes. He was selected by the Bills in the sixth round of last season’s NFL Draft.

Before Hamlin’s frightening injury, Buffalo had already taken a hit in the secondary. After being hit in the upper back by Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst, the Bills cornerback Taron John was forced to leave the game.

After being taken back to their locker room, Johnson was informed by the team that he is being evaluated for a possible head injury. His return is questionable.

Hamlin was able to join the teams at midfield during this difficult time.
