Thomas Tuchel Offers Love and Support to Chelsea Squad After Consecutive Defeats
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel offered his support and love to his players following their two consecutive defeats over the last week.
The Blues are in poor form since their international break. They lost 4-1 to Brentford in Premier League in their first game. They were defeated 3-1 by Real Madrid in west London four days later. This means they are now two goals behind going into Tuesday’s second leg.
Speaking to the media ahead of their trip to Southampton on Saturday, Tuchel revealed he will provide his love and support to the Chelsea squad as they look to bounce back from their defeat against Madrid.
“I was disappointed because I know how much better we can play. I was aware of how unusual these performances and mistakes were for us. This led to my reaction. It’s unclear if this is a turning point.

“You need to take care about the process and right now yesterday it was to be honest with the team, explain your reactions and why it is like this. It is important that the players understand why it is so and how they can deal with anger from the manager.
“I think I had some reasons, I presented my reasons. We move on from there. My support will never be lacking, nor will my love and appreciation for the group and players. I love being involved.
“Sometimes you have to handle this with any team in the world. This isn’t youth football or amateur football. In our group it isn’t the same.”
Chelsea will be keen to secure victory on the south coast on Saturday should they look to compete on various fronts until the end of the season.
