We configure litigation holds directly in Microsoft 365 Purview to preserve email, documents, and Teams conversations for specific custodians or date ranges. When a hold is placed, relevant data is frozen regardless of deletion by users. We document the hold configuration, scope, and custodians, and we can produce court-ready exports from Content Search or eDiscovery Premium when required.
